Total scam.And they are not very good at it. I have been hammering them back with calls from various numbers and I intend to keep it up and make them regret ever calling me in the first place.
They called yesterday on a bad connection and I told him he must have the wrong number. Today they called at 6am and I didn't answer and an automated message was left saying legal action was taken against my name and I needed to call back.
I have received six calls from them today I called them back knowing it is a scam informed them if they call me again I will report them to authorities and that i have a locator on my phone and know where they are calling from, they instantly hung up after that.
Recieved 3 call's yesterday. Two were voicemail's both the same. Simply said "This is the IRS contact us due to illegal action against your name. My husband did speak to someone who he could not understand and hung up. I called Federal and State IRS. Nothing showed up, they said to file a FRAUD complaint with the US Dept. of Treasury 1-800-366-4484; www.TIGA.gov . I did both, I would recommend all to do the same. The caller is from Park Ridge, NJ.
Total SCAM. Everybody that receives these calls needs to barrage them with calls. I have been doing this, and I don't think they like it. Totally too bad for them.
