They keep calling me and I have never answered the phone, nor never left my number to call me at. I really wish there was a way to block a number on the iphone, or with AT&T. And so to fix things myself, I finally had to create a silent ring tone and add the number to my contact list and set the special ring tone for that contact to SILENT. And so they can call all they want I simpy will never hear the phone ring.
ok, this time someone DID answer... Heavy accent, calling on behalf of GOOGLE WORK FROM HOME program. The type of work is AD placement on websites that can bring in extra income (supposedly). I simply stated "NO THANK YOU" 3 times and she said "ok ma'am, have a nice day"
It is using a piggy back type of application on your phone connection to make another call. Phone number needs to be disconnected. Check you phone bill and call your phone company!!!!
I think it is Google. I recently looked into doing a home-based business with them and when I decided against it, the calls started coming in. I've been called from three different numbers (all with the 201 area code) and the numbers call all day to the point that they are annoying me, waking up my kids early in the morning, etc. I hate that I ever gave them my number.
The saga continues.. I keep getting these numbers. I called the number at 7pm.. phone rings busy, as if off the hook. It's time the government acts on these callers. They probably sit and read (while laughing) the posts and laugh at us. Maybe we can get someone in Washington to stop this stuff. I broke an arm a few months ago running to get the phone and it was one of these and I am totally fed up with it. Maybe if we just ignore them they'll go away!
The area code is from New Jersey. I got seven calls from this number and no answer. I remember giving Google my phone# once when they needed to verify me in order to use Gmail.
It seems like im starting to lose my trust in Google more and more. I think they are selling-out to the big wigs. It's time to bail from Google.
