Mike Russo continues to call and threaten any who answer calls.
We've sent emails and reported to Police as you'd think they'd want to bust someone who's bascially committing fraud and stealing from PAL by saying so.
I received a voice mail from Les Michaels asking me to call 201-795-5059 x36. Based on above comments, I decided there was no reason to return the call. My caller id said the call was coming from 908-925-0726
I received a number of phone calls from 3 different people... Jerry, Mike Russo and Bernie Roberts. They called from 908-925-0726, as well as two private lines. I was given the cell of 973-407-0381 for Jerry, and 201-795-5059 ext 36. All three were extremely pushy and said we were to be included in a program for business owners. Said they were part of the Jersey City PAL, but the documentation they provided was for a PO Box at a UPS store (123 Town Square Place, #179). I asked for a program, they said they wouldnt provide me with one
Beware of this scam. They offer to pick up a check, however if you do intend to donate to the Jersey City PAL just mail the real address a check, or call Frank Williams to discuss. Ensure your money goes to the right place... these callers are extremely rude, arrogant and pushy. They are all about the check, and not about the kids.
The person name Steve Wagner called asking for the donation, refuse to send donation request on paper. I explained, that we do not donate the money, we can donate our services. He lost his interest.
I get calls and donate every year. This year I called JC Police Dept and asked to verify that James Costello was with the Jersey City Police Athletic League. The JC police dept said to call 201-547-5301, a JC number, I called and spoke with an officer who confirmed that James Costello is an authorized fundraiser for the JC PAL. Pay by check and make sure your check is written out to who you intend it to go to. I donate to JC PAL every year through James Costello at 201-795-5059.
