They called with a local number from my area. Through it was a tenant of mine who recently changed a number. They tried to confirm who they were speaking with saying that they wanted to transfer me to an operator who had "personal information" for me. I asked if this was a sales call and they said "I don't know, all I know if an operator has some personal information for you." I asked her what good was she if she didn't know what the call pertained to and requested they remove me from their calling list.
Just got a call today (1/7/13). sounded automated. Same line- received my information from a survey I filled out. Could not give my their direct number, wrong answer came up. scam
Also just got a call today (1/7/13) about an online survey. I told him he had the wrong # and he said ok and hung up. I don't give this number out to anyone, there's no way I would have put it on a survey.
Got a call from this number at 11:59 AM ET today Jan 7, 2013, to my work line, a guy "Asian accent " told me that I apply for a job with them, told him never did that and I am working right now, he told me no problem we can find for you something in your local area, I told him that I am not interested.
I wonder how he got my phone number this one I do not give it to anyone except for couple of specific venders of network equipment, I do not think that Cisco give it!!
