MEDCO has a monopoly on the RX Business and is NOT very customer friendly. They mess around with mailing important prescriptions to their clients and are late almost every time in delivering those meds. Some of these Meds can mean the difference between life and death to many people. They play games with the timing of when you mail them in. If you are not to the day in mailing them they send them back only to have you turn around and mail them back the same day you receive it back from them. That is absolutely ridiculous. They can't hold that RX for 3 days???
They delay all the time and we are forced to use them due to the cost of the meds and the fact that our insurance company says we HAVE to use them. What a scam!
And yes, this is the MEDCO number. I just received a call from them today. The RX I mailed to them is expensive and they need my permission to use the card I have on file with them. That, in and of itself, is yet another example of how they delay for whatever reason they can possibly find. The card on file already has my permission so why a phone call to verify that same permission when I gave them permission just two weeks ago for a couple of other medications that were due to be mailed to me.
Very frustrating company to do business with and if I had it my way; I would most certainly be using a different company.
These people HAVE to be stopped
And soon. I am sick and tired of this. We have never interacted with MEDCO and never will. I hope they leave us alone. We are on the Do Not Call List.
If it were indeed Medico, and assuming they are filling a prescription for you, it is reasonable to assume that they should already have all your pertinent information on-hand before attempting to fill the order....
AND IN ADDITION...you would/should also be expecting the call as well as already having their contact info.

NEVER GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION TO ANYONE WHEN YOU DID NOT INITIATE THE CALL.
NEVER CALL BACK A NUMBER THEY GIVE YOU, INSTEAD LOOK AT YOUR BILLING OR ACCOUNT INFO AND FIND THE CONTACT INFO SUPPLIED WHERE YOU KNOW THE RESOURCE IS RELIABLE.
