Thanks to everyone who takes time to write a message about scammers. I've done so in the past, but scammers are getting too numerous to keep up with nowadays. Yes, I've experienced the IRS scam and do not respond. It's in line with 95% or more of the unidentified calls I receive as other scams. Wish there was a better solution for all of us who still want or need a phone, but I can envision the day when we turn solely to computers for email and voice. At least computer services filter out some scams ... and we don't have to listen to the computer ring day and night.
