Received a call from this number this morning. Picked up only because I have family visiting in that area code. I could not understand one syllable of the caller's opening pitch. I asked, "What language are you speaking?" The female caller said very clearly, "We are from Pakistan." I asked what she wanted. Disconnected.
I used to receive this call several times a week and then it stopped. Just got the call and the person that answered did not even speak good English. Said he needed to verify info on my computer. I said "What computer?" He said I have evidence to show that you have a windows computer. I again said "What computer?" He said you know what computer I am talking about. I said "i don't believe so", he cussed and hung up. When I tried to call back, it is a non-working phone number. I hope that I don't start getting calls again. I may be pushed into getting a police whistle to keep beside my chair so when he or the obnoxious person calling wanting to help me with "your credit card" (again can not tell me what credit card I have that he needs to discuss) I will blow it full force in their ear. I hope they don't get to many people that give their info.
I didn't even let this goof get that far...I answered the phone because I was expecting a call back from someone on the east coast. He asked me if this was Mr. Bock and I said no, sorry, wrong number...now lose it and promptly hung up. I then blocked the number.
Foreign person...sounded Indian or Pakistani... said we have a problem with our computer...told him i am a programmer in IT and he hung up..... Sounds like Phishing Scam...hope they catch these scumbags.... it was a bad connection as well sounded like Voice Over IP
Printer was not working after installing windows 10, so did a search. Got a call from this number. Thought call was a response to request, so i let "John Parker" control for a short while. Became concerned so turned computer off, with difficulty as he was now controlling. He called back and I stupidly turn computer back on. I turned it off again. Now computer will not run without some unknown password. Yes, I was stupid.
