I have been getting these calls from 1-202-000-1234 about every day. they say I have been selected to receive $9000.00 from the government. Really. But ok, They have asked me every time for my credit card No#. I said No. they hung up. The last time They called I put my 3 year old grandson on phone. He asked there name. well they hung up. I have now blocked them...
I received a call from them offering a $1700 grant. It was obviously a scam. I asked for more information about them, so that I could collect enough information to report them to authorities.
The guy had an Indian accent and said his name was Edi Connor, and that he is calling from the "Federal Government, Grants Section". I asked which department it is, he didn't respond.
His was pressing to get more data about me. I refused to give any data. I asked for a number to call back. He refused to give me a number until he verified my data. I hung up on him.
I got another call from same number at the same time (had to put one on hold to get the other). This was a lady who asked for me by name but then hung up).
