SCAM ALERT! These criminals are scammers trying to gain remote access to your computer to plant extortionware and steal your logins, passwords, credit card information and banking information. Microsoft does not call users and does not use third parties either. There is also no way for Microsoft to know if your computer is infected. Everything they say is a lie. Here is a link to Microsoft's website with information on this scam.
I listened to the whole message, with the heavy Indian accent. I knew what it was. When he was finished, I told him that I was sorry and didn't have a computer (hehehe). He screamed at me and asked why I had been wasting jis time...I told him because he was wasting MY time. He hung up.
I love your message which reminds me of what I did a while back with this foreign idiot. We talked for a while and I asked him how does he knows I have a computer even. And he pipes up and ask me, do I have a computer? I said, you should know since you are telling me that their is something wrong with my computer. Needless to say, the conversation came to a quick end.
Friend of mine just got this call 40 minutes ago .. posted the whole conversation on Facebook.
"Just spent an hr on the phone with some guy saying he was from the internet security division. Telling me my internet was being hacked and asked me to turn on my PC and follow all these steps. I played along with him acting like I was doing what he said. Got to the point He wanted my Id #. I made one up and as he tried to access my computer kept telling me I entered the wrong number because he couldn't access my pc. I reassured him I entered everything the way he told me. He had me go through it several times. I had him on speaker phone so my son and I could both hear him. At one point the voices changed and I asked if they switched techs and he assured me no. regardless this went on for some time till I asked him since we are having so many problems should I report the problem to the internet fraud division and he said no he would handle it. We went at it for a little longer over and over till I said there must be a reason this isn't working and I was going to report it to the internet fraud division and I asked him for his name, He took offense and asked if I was just wasting his time and I said no I just want to make sure these people who are trying to hack me get caught. I asked for his name again an had him spell it then asked for his Company name to which he gave DeLong Inc (which is my friends last name!!). He then called me an [***], so I said what a tough guy over the phone and I called him a [***] and asked if he had anything to do with 911. I then told him I already reported his number 1-202-011-3341 out of district of Columbia to the internet Fraud dept. Never give anyone over the phone your personal info over the phone or internet but you can have an hr of fun with them."
