A man with an Indian accent told me he was from the US Federal Government, and that I had won a $9700 grant. All I had to do was go to a Walgreens, buy a card to add $250 to, and then go to Western Union to get my cash. The $250 is to cover a fee that Western Union charges, because they cannot have more than $5000 per a single transaction.
The man gave me his direct phone number 206-400-7041 and told me to call him back, once I got out to the parking lot of the Walgreens. He said his name was "Martin Williams", and then put me on the phone with his supervisor, "Samuel Johnson", who also had a heavy Indian accent. Mr. Johnson's direct extension is ×718 when I call them back.
This is obviously a scam, and I am not going to follow up with them. Just trying to get the word out for other unsuspecting victims.
