It looks like this (202)111-3333

Which means it's a spoofed number. NO phone number or area code in the US or Canada begins with a 1 so this is a spoofed number and should be ignored.

We received 11 calls from this number today, beginning at 7:45 AM.  Eleven calls in one morning.  Something needs to be done.  The caller ID was INVALID NUMBER.

They knew my name. Telling me I have 9800$ for government..called 15times friday ..nothing over the weekend and just started calling this morning

5 calls today and no voicemails.
So I finally answered . I acted so excited to be contacted by the US government to receive $9000 free! Except the $250 to activate a card? When I kept asking questions,  the man argued that it was not a scam and i could speak to his supervisor. I asked nicely to not be contacted anymore, he kept reasuring it was not a scam. I asked again and again to not be contacted, he finally said so you're not interested? I said no I'm good. He then said in his heavy accent "thanks for wasting my time you [***] [***]!" and hung up lol
