My parents house received the call.
My dad works in IT and I'm a computer programmer, thus my mother knew it was a scam when they asked to access her computer remotely.
Unfortunately not enough people know about these scams, please tell people around you this is a problem. The more people who know, the better off we'll be.

There appears there is no way to stop all the scammers calling from outside the USA.
Maybe if we can convince the money hungry VOIP carriers to stop providing these crooks with the numbers this could all stop.
To me, they are just as guilty as the scammers!
I too get these calls but, no one is providing them with these numbers that show up on your caller I.D..... they have the capability to insert any number they please while calling on another number.
These jagoffs called me on 11-25-16, now they've called me last on 12-7-16 and have hung up on my answering machine both times! If they do it a third time it's 3 strikes and your out (blocking number)! If they don't leave a message, it's most likely a chit call!
