answered the call...while looking up their number on google.com.....they quickly hung up....then when I called back, verizon said that this number was no longer in service...just 1 second later....I think it is the same people who formerly called me this morning twice from the number 202-165-8956 I believe they are scammers.....
Call blocker might be of some help. Also don't pick up on numbers you do not recognize, or where there are caller IDs that seem odd. Or where there is no caller ID. There’s no way to stop the calls from being initiated. Calls originate in India and Pakistan. They spoof local numbers. Many times area code 202.
Got a call from this number and the person said they had a free grant of up to $9000 from the US Treasury that will not have to be repaid - every. I asked for more details and they hung up. Very broken English and reading a script.
