First of all they knew my first name which is scarey; second the caller couldn't speak English very well and informed me that he was a federal employee and the government pick me for an 7,000 dollar grant that was none refundable, but needed to verify some specifics from me (yeah right!), then he would give me his employee ID and pass me onto his supervisor. I know that this is a scam. They have called every day for about two weeks, number is always the same, I block it and it still manages to come through. I know that it is a landline for sure, but cant identify who these idiots are!
