I have been receiving numerous calls a day from this number yesterday I answered and I asked they guy what he wanted and he started talking really dirty to me telling me he loved me and wanted to kiss me I told him that I reported the number to the police and he continued with the same talk and then called me back 2 more times last night and now he just called again from the same number I didn't answer.
I was told I qualified for a grant I didn't apply to because I paid my bills, didn't file for bankruptcy, and didn't have a criminal record for "the past last six months." A Federal worker, especially one helping people to receive money, should never speak a country's native language with poor grammar. The woman on the other line, whose name I can't remember, told me that my name was on a list of 15,000 people. Near the end of the call, I could hear another woman giving someone else the same pitch I was given. That seemed very suspicious to me, but I later disconnected the call and called the "manager." The number given to me, (202) 656-9173, was unavailable. When I dialed the number that called me, a different automated message told me the number was unavailable. (202) 235-6743 is now saved in my phone as "Grant Scam," with the other number being listed as an alternate number.
I sincerely hope that not too many more people are fooled by this.
