Ya they got me for $3786.13 because they scared the crap out of me. I was so dumbfounded by their interaction that I did exactly as they said. They told me I could not tell anyone I was doing this or it would become a criminal interactiona and that they had to stay on the phone with me at all times. My first clue was when I gave them the codes off the back of the Green.dot cards and they said it would take 14 -20 minutes to confirm my payment. Then they put me through to a "attorney" who said I was a criminal and that they needed $2000 more dollars because 4 of the green .dot cards were blocked.. and that they would be sending me a refund check for the $2000 within 24 -48 hours and I needed to go get another $2000 to clear up my account today. I was searching on my phone while they kept yelling at me about not compling and that I was going straight to jail and criminal.
I looked them up on my phone and when I saw all of your posts I got sick and threw up. They got there money and I am out $4000k and I want them stopped.. This type of scam should not be allowed and should be stopped. I am informing the local authorities and stop this from happening from anyone else. By the way the story is exactly the same and they left me a pretty message after I hung up on the Indian that was yelling at me about how he was an attorney about not being a good woman and I am criminal. Nice!! I don't think that the IRS would be allowed to use that terminology terminology as they would get sued. like that. !! Please block this number from your phone and DO NOT ANSWER IT.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $60.00 or so.

This guy with an Indian accent has called my phone and left messages saying that he was from the IRS auditing and that I had some serious problems that he needed to discuss with me. He said that my SS# was been held pending me contacting them. He also said that my employer would be contacted and that I would be terminated from my job. (Funny because I work for myself and I don't think I will fire me today) He also said that I would be reported to the local COPS and they would take me into custody. The guy does not speak good English, he uses the wrong words to describe certain things and events.
I called the IRS to make sure that I did not have any issues and was told by the agent that I did not have any open issues. He told me that the IRS would not call me like that. They would contact me via mail. He said it is a scam and not to worry about it. He asked me to go to the IRS website and fill in a form with information about the call which I did.
This is a BIG SCAM if they call you, do as II did and call him the biggest scum bag on earth and I also unleashed a few choice words that could not be written here.
He has called me three time since that and left messages. You would think that he would have learned after the first time. It just goes to show you that he is not very smart.
