Most of these calls are coming from India and Pakistan. So your best bet is a call blocking device or phone to stop the calls. Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Had this same call today while at work. Man left a message stating he was an investigator of the criminal dept for the IRS. He literally said it that way, then said I had a warrant for tax fraud, and demanded that I call him back. So I did, and have reached a voicemail each time.
I just recieved a call from this number from an "Officer David Miller". "Officer Miller" had a very thick accent. He said that he is from the Tax Fraud/Criminal Investigation division of the IRS and that there is a legal action against my husband. I asked if they had sent us anything official via mail and he told me that he sent us letters and emails. I asked for the dates that the letters and emails were sent and he said they were sending the letters tomorrow. He told me not to "fret" as this happens all the time. I told him that since this is a legal matter I was taking it very seriously. I'm not sure how these people can be stopped...but they need to be.
I just heard a message on my answering machine. The caller sounds like Indian man with a very heavy accent. This is what he said and what I could understand from this call.
"This message intended to (Carmen) (No Last Name) This is officer Paul Smith and I'm calling you from the IRS Internal Revenue Services and the reason of my call is inform you that they've a lawsuit filed against your name regarding tax fraud do no more above this go search. So try to reach us back at 202-239-2136." Thank you.
This message is definitely from India I received all twice one from 209 210 3534( IRS Fraud Department) and telling same [***] as you guys described and asking for immediate payment. Really made me nervous for few mins, and after 20 mins of back and forth, when I refused call ended with a threat of me being arrested.
Two days later I received another call from 202 239 2136 (Criminal Investigation Department) regarding my final notice and went to my voice mail. When I called them back a senior officer was talking to me. I played around for a few minutes as I know who this officer is and as I know Hindi as I am Indian myself I made him to talk in Hindi with a sudden change of language. Guy then started cursing me for wasting his time and for intentionally lying with him, how absurd, after receiving an earful call dropped.
When are we going to be done with these calls
I just got one of them it says i have to call them before they issue an arrest warrent
