They called a customer of mine today claiming to be from the department of justice claiming he owed $3600 for back taxes. Was very persistant and convincing. called back multiple times claiming he was going to send out his officers to arrest this individual. Wanted him to withdraw the money from the bank and send it through a service. He even calle back once with a 1-(911) number popping up on the caller ID. Spoke with a heavy accent and would note transfer to a manager when requested. Finally agered him enough that he started yelling in a different language. Beware.
These idiots called. Claiming they were the IRS. Little did they know, work for the Feds, and when I told them that they hung up. So I called back, again and again and again....they just hang up when I tell them who I work for. Everyone harass the [***] out of these POS's. They are nothing but a scam! Let them know that you know they are full of [***].
They won't stop. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize. It would be a good idea to block the entire 202 area code. IRS scammers just love to use that 202 area code on their spoofed numbers.
I got 2 of these calls left messages, they have a warrant.. Yeah go ahead and bring it.. I got a couple of these at my job and my boss just told them they show up at my work they will be arrested.. Stopped that one.. Scammers! Go get real jobs and leave us hard working people alone!
