I work in a tax office and one of my clients came in an hour ago very upset, thinking the police were going to arrive at her home to pick up her and her husband due to something wrong between them and the IRS. The couple is elderly. The "officer" identifyed himself as Officer Domique Ford.
Caller said he was Jim Arthur badge number 3786 and was from the IRS. Said he was a criminal investigaor but obviously had very old information because he was trying to contact one of my sons who hasn't lived at home for about 15 years :-) Knew it was fake as my son works for the govt and we have talked on the phone over the years about tax prep. His and mine. Someone in power needs to pull the plug on these guys.
I received a message on my home number telling me it was Office Arthur from the Criminal Investigation Division in regards to a Federal Investigation against by name and address and I needed to call him to prevent legal action. I did not call officer Arthur with federal Badge number 0786 back as I suspected it was a scam.. You always know it's a scam as these people are difficult to understand. They have tried me scam me a few times in the past.
