Got a phone call form Mr. Eric Matthews with the IRS (this time) saying that I have some financial "case" against me and I owed some $$$...Laughed and told him to get lost...He said that the police will be over at my house within 30 minutes...Replied back "Good, tell them I have coffee and donuts"...The Nerve of These Parasites!!!
This is a Pakistan or India based IRS scam. Do not fall for it. The IRS does not initiate any legal action via phone.

As general background information, here are a few things you can do:
1) Report it to TIGTA under http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/contact_report_scam.shtml especially if you have become a victim (lost money, gave personal information etc.). You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov/complaint (include “IRS Telephone Scam" in your complaint). This way you can also help the government establish specific fraud patterns.
2) Help kill their phone lines. The scammers use Voice over IP lines (e.g. magicJack (Ymax corporation)) to make it seem as if they are calling from the US. This is always against these companys' terms of service and can lead to immediate termination of their contract and blocking of their IP addresses for future attempts to register. Do a reverse look up of their telephone number (e.g. www.whitepages.com) to identify the Voice over IP provider and report it to the company and or law enforcement (local police and/or state attorney general)
3) If you are really annoyed: call or write to your representative in Congress. As these scams happen all over the country maybe this will trigger a reaction and provide US law enforcement agencies with the political backing and the resources they need to work in India and Pakistan together with local authorities (it can happen, read: http://www.ndtv.com/article/india/ex-call-cen ... mmission-320427). A US task force has already been set up in Jamaica to nab scammers there (see http://www.ice.gov/doclib/news/library/reports/cornerstone/cornerstone7-1.pdf). Got a call at 12:13 PM from Phone: 202-239-6520 and the person introduced as David Marlow, clearly stated my name and said there is a warrant agaist me. I did not allow to go further just replied nicely, I will investigate and thanks for giving me the information. I was certain that it was a fake call from a deceiver to panic me and to ask some money or something else. I know I have not done anything wrong, so no question arise for any warrant. The peron was having Indian accent. Please be aware of such kind of impostors call, never get panicked these are SWINDLERS looking for easy money without work and preparing themselve's for a jail time at some point once caught by law enforcing agencies.

Michael White (clearly indian accent) called to say i was going to jail in the next 30 minutes for 5 years due to owing IRS 2893.59, and ALL of my assets will be seized. Wanted payment on CC or any other form and wanted to know how much i could afford every month. Was very busy in several projects at work so didn't realize that this could be a prank. After nerves were settled a little checked on internet and the number just pops up everywhere. one of the worst 5 minutes of my life. Hope he goes to jail and is prosecuted to the limit. I have recording with the voice and fake IRS message in case anyone need it.
Joseph Clark with a bad Middle Eastern accent called. Difficult to understand. I heard background traffic and allah prayer call noise. Something to do with tax fraud, imminent arrest and pay fine now somehow. I asked him how many times does his mohamad and koran teach him to swindle people, behead innocent human beings, and scam people. He cussed me and called me an American pig.
The great part of your post is that the guy is probably Hindu. The worst thing you can do to a Hindu is to call him or her a Muslim. I usually call them lower than an untouchable which is the lowest run in the Indian caste system. They hate that too! Will cuss you out in Hindu, they get so mad.
