Just received a call on my cell phone said he was Steve Wilson, an IRS Officer and that i would be served a legal affidavit today and that I should have my lawyer at my home. I file my taxes and pay plenty every year. This is nuts that we should have to deal with this crap.
this caller was rude and threatening used the IRS and Treasury department and the federal marshals that was goanna be at my door step in the am because of an arrest warrant that he was goanna activate if I did not complete this call when I told him that I had no wants and warrants and that I was a Law Enforcement officer and told him the call was recorded he hung up
This is a well known IRS scam perpetrated from India (Delhi callcenters). You can usually tell by the thick accents. Sometimes they use spoofed numbers to seem real. Read http://www.treasury.gov/tigta/press/press_tigta-2014-03.htm. All others who read this, please do not fall for such a laughable attempt at getting your money from you. The IRS never calls directly to open a case.
Received a call from same number this guy had a hard time stating the IRS very laughable as he had an issue with the language the IRS will never call they use the postal services don't fall for this. It is pathetic
i have received several calls for several reasons time to time, today he called and inform me that there is a lawsuit against me and i must contact otherwise summons wiil peruse me, i called him back and get the crap out of him and said if you call here again i will send FBI agent, if you live in india or somewehre else i will locate you and get your [***] up. then he was mumbling and shut up, didnt reply anything.
