Who called from 2022397073

received a call from this number where the guy claimed to be an IRS agent. He threatened me with police involvement and deportation because I was being investigated for fraud. I did not verify any info with him and hung up. I contacted the police and reported the incident. I also called the IRS directly to verify the alleged charges. The IRS does not threaten anyone, nor will they contact you via phone initially, you will have a mountain of paperwork on their letterhead regarding any action/investigation they are performing involving you before they will call you. and when they do call you it will not be from a cellular phone like this idiot did to me.

Thank you for the heads up from this fraudulent company calling themselves Tex-cline, an investigation company for the IRS. They have called me five times and spoke to me once. English was clearly not their primary language.  I provided no information but there are persistent. These calls came from 202-241_7784,and he identified himself as James Anderson, he sounded more like a Hapu Asan.

I received a message on my answering machine saying there was an investigation case being filed against me by the IRS. He sounded like, at the beginning of the message, he tried to tell me either where he was calling from (company) or maybe he was telling me why the IRS was investigating me.  But then he said that I or my attorney needed to call back at 202-239-7075 before any legal steps were taken against my name. If I fail to return the phone call <and this is where it got really weird because his voice got really low and he started talking really slow/drawn out> that they are not responsible for any consequences that may happen in my future, which is lined with blood stains. Definitely a scam / prank call and definitely pissed me off.

Caller said an investigation case being filed against me by the IRS.   He threatened me with police involvement and deportation because I was being investigated for fraud.  Read a rather lengthy "affidavit"; said if I hung up he would have to call the local sheriff & have me arrested as I would be considered uncooperative & hostile!!  Scam?  Prank?

So I was being harassed by these [***] too so I had a cop friend sit with me we went up to his office in the station and I said oh call me at this number he called the station and my Sgt friend answered and tore the dude a new [***]. Told him listen buddy your breaking the law jis by saying your gonna have people arrested at their jobs and impersonating an officer . Went on to say look up the number you just dialed cuz it's a Boston police station , well be calling the attorney general after we hang up if you call again well be pressing charges for fraud. ...these people are scum. If they come at you with this same speil  waste as much time of theirs as possible. Talk they're ear off tell em whatever. Scambait these picks until enough of us waste THEIR TIME  they won't stop this crap. .they can't do anything to you and believe this. The police are never ever ever gonna show up and arrest you for debt collection whey her you owe or not.  That's a civil matter and any real stuff will come through the mail and be easily verifyable through your local courthouse.
DON'T LET THESE JERKS MAKE YOU SWEAT. waste their time if you can.
