I got a call from this same number 662-101-4785 saying I have won $5000.00 from the US Government Grant Department. I asked how she got my information and she said because you have excellent credit, ur a us citizen and pay your taxes. She gave me a phone number and a password , i had to call them and give them this password and some how I would get this money . so i called off my work phone and it just rang and rang.... about 10 min. later another person called me on my work # and said hi this is blah blah with us gov.. i told him i had got a call from you guys and this is a scam i would like to get my number removed from you guys . He told me this is not a scam ! your are the losser and hang up on me. If they were the us gov they would have sent me a check hahahah total scam do not pick up.
They've called me over 100 times. I'm even on the national do not call list and yet it manages to get through!! At any rate, it's the same story as everyone else. Only they requested that I send 200.00 to Nigeria. I refused to give any of my information and told them since they were the government they had my address and they could mail the check if they were legit. Obviously, they aren't but please bare in mind that the government does not charge money for any American citizen to receive grant money. That's the reason it's grant money because it's free and you don't have to pay it back or pay a processing fee. Any average American who's ever been to college knows this. Scam artist need to get a little smarter if they think they are going to deceive the American public.
I just received a # 970-002 ( that's how it appeared on my phone) stating I have won $7,000.00 US GOVERNMENT GRANT. She had a heavy accent and told me the same thing as all the other post, I have three ways to receive it. My checking account, by Visa, or by cash. I told her I did not have a checking account nor do I have any VISA CARDS ( I really do but I wasn't about to give it to her over the phone) she then stated so u want to receive it as cash ,I said sure then she said I would have to call 1-(202)-470-3455, I knew something wasn't right but thought what the heck lets call and see what they say? Well as u can guess no one answered the phone.
If any of my brother or sisters and neighboring friends of the USA GET THIS # showing up on your phone please do not answer or answer and hang up immediately as this is a big fat juicy scam of low life's trying to get your bank account and /or Visa info so they can steal from us.
