This is a scam! The caller told me that I did tax fraud from 2008-2012 and I owed $4300. Told me when I said I am going to my local IRS office that he was going to go ahead and file court papers against me and he could help me now with the $4300. The IRS does not call you and will send a letter to you if you are truly deliquent or committing tax fraud! The person keeps calling after I have spoken to him!
Got several calls from this number leaving messages that I am in trouble with the law. The last one stated that court papers had been filed, so I guess I'll hang tight for my subpoena. I called him back today only to give him a piece of my mind and tell him to stop calling me-- Of course I got a voicemail that said "Please. Leave. Message." C'mon, at least try to sound a little convincing. In a nutshell, I cussed him out and hung up--
Reporting the # 202-239-8615 as a scam - the individual attempted to contact me at a number I have not lived at for 14+ years stating it was a court matter I am involved with. When a return call was made, no information was provided until I was the one who called back....SCAM!!
Keep receiving calls from this number saying there is a court ordered lawsuit being filed against me? If they were smart they would know that's not how Americans go about filing a suit! what freaking idiots! I just feel bad for the elderly and not so informed people that this is fraud!!!!! I go back to my old saying"if i don't recognize the # i'm not answering!" Just wish they would stop leaving messages!
I received this message from the "IRS" also. Apparently I am one of the many with pending court cases. Since a call back tothe number doesn't even bother to try to get any money, I can't figure out what the scam is.
