I got a call from this number. When I answered the phone a man, who had a very heavy accent,  identified himself as an IRS agent, and stated that the IRS were charging me with check fraud and i needed to give them the name of my criminal attorney. I told him that I had no clue what he was talking about and I hung up. Three hours later...

I get a voice mail from same number.....This time he  identified himself as a Deputy Brown with the IRS check fraud division. I called the number back and a man answered stating, in his heavy accent, that its good I called back. He then proceeded to speak in another language to someone else...this made me laugh and he started mocking me and ended the call but not before calling me a [***].

This has to have something to do with the green dot loan scams because a man with a very similar name, Jerry Brown, called me offering me $1000 for 8 months and all I had to do was buy a green dot card and show that I could pay the first payment.

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Got a call from 2022411199.  Saying they were with the IRS and had sent me a registered letter that I had signed through the USPS.  He said they had an affidavit to read me and he needed to transfer me to his manager.  The manager got on the phone and asked me to verify my address.  I said if that is the address that you sent the registered letter to and I got it an signed it then I guess that was my address.  He got very frustrated with me, also stated that he was going to report this IRS fraud to my employer and I just kept agreeing with what he was saying and he finally hung up on me not believing that I did not care what they did.  I have reported to the number on the irs website.  Also when you call the number back it is dead air and no one answers.
