This is absolutely an Indian (or Pakistani or other country in that area-because of the strong accent that makes it even hard to understand what they are saying) scam. I keep calling them back to give them a taste of their own medicine and they don't like it! We should spread the word and have everybody call them to take up their phone lines and see how "scammers like getting scammed"!!
Got a call from this number 202-241-1311 saying they were from the IRS. She said something about subpoenas, taxes, etc, etc. It was really hard to understand her as she had a thick accent-Indian or Pakistani. Funny thing is, I'm originally from India-I should have had some fun with them :)

•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
