This number called us as well, saying they were from Crime Investigation headquartered in Washington DC and working under the IRS calling about income tax fraud. Fortunately we looked up the number before providing any information.
On 08/18/14 around 5 pm the number 202-241-1976 tried to blackmail me. He represented himself as a criminal investigator from IRS. He offered me to solve some issue on phone to escape an arrest warrant.

then $1500.00 to fix problem. Would Send someone from legal office to take care of it. Wanted personal

I was called by a lady at this number telling me that I was going to be arrested for income tax fraud by the police and that I have 10 years of income tax fraud. I kept asking her to explain, and she said she worked for TIGTA and wanted to give me her address. I looked up the phone number and was relieved to know this was a fraud
Somebody by the name Johnson from so called Crime Investigation headquartered in Washington DC and working under the IRS left a message requesting to call to 202-241-1976 about problem with IRS.
When we call him back he sounded like a criminal. His speech was not clear, with big Asian accent.
On our question what is the problem he said that I am going to be arrested . I decided not to talk to this strange person and hanged up........ Then I checked this phone 202-241-1976 on Internet and everything became clear. This was a fraud.....
Somebody should take care about these kind of people.
