Completely agree. First time they stated it was California tax agency regarding excess taxes due. I could tell from the area code it wasn't from CA so I asked which city in California they were calling from..... they paused then replied they are calling from Washington DC. I asked for them to identify my SSN, and they asked why I would be asking. Hang up!
