I got a call from this number with treats by some "special agent" about an arrest warrant issued on my name and my son's name for tax evasion....Since I insisted for details I was switched to "the supervisor" who had a more terrible indian accent than the first one.
It seems not an easy task to catch these criminals with so much scam around....
I got a call from this number. I knew its a scam and i know he is an indian and i am an indian too, so after listening to him about a minute or 2 i started cursing him so badly he hung up the phone. I called back about 40 times from which he answered 6 times. Finally, i told him if he is got the balls come to my house.
Male with thick Indian accent called asking for 3,500.00 dollars because of "tax problems." He claimed that his name was Richard Anderson. How stupid do these people think we are?
Yes, my wife got that call too, when I was at work. Terrible scam attempt.
I do not understand why nobody blames the big PHONE CORPORATIONS, land line or mobile.
Because, honestly, they are at the root of this problem.
Anybody can rent a real US number, in any area code (provided it's available), and then re-direct to some Afghan hamlet, where the "holly warriors" fight by all means against evil Americans (ha-ha).
It's the same with e-mail spam - blame the big ISP (Internet Service Provider), especially the ogling company, but not only.
And, please, don't give me the "Freedom of Speech" speech! Maybe the FCC should look into this?
the 202-2414904 call is an absolute scam...Indian souding lady first , then she got an her supervisor on the line, who also had an indian accent. They could not verify anything: did not know my address, social, etc...I told them what they they were doing was illegal and I was colled the BBB and the authorities. It is a shame because other folks may believe them, get scared and provide them with money to resolve their non issues
