Mark, bill, and a host of other names used were all dea but now retired. The phone scam was reported to dea opr (internal affairs) as well as their office of security programs hundreds of times since 2008 that I know of. It's opr's responsibility to track that crap down. Security programs refused to address it and ordered all the division security folks to stand down on looking into it. Opr was both briefed on it and directed to handle it on numerous occasions, they did nothing. Never do anything productive, and are usually the parking location for trouble makers. Opr and security programs were given every phone number listed herein and obviously have the capability to run them to ground immediately. Heaven forbid they use a T3 to track badguys!
also just got a call from 202-241-8927 extension 118. too bad they can't prosecute this type of annoying crime. He said he was agent William Wright or William White. Jerk face idiot.
A man with a spanish accent called me and said he was "Special Agent Manuel Castillo" from the DEA. He said they were conducting an ongoing investigation into an online pharmacy and they had discovered I ordered from them in 2007. He said he needed me to answer a few questions. Although the call was creepy and unsettling, I knew something was wrong because I don't recall any such purchase and once a doctor I went to was investigated by the DEA, local agents came to my house to ask me questions about him. I really didn't have much to say because I only went to him once. I know they send out agents from local field offices to visit people in person, they don't make phone calls.
I told the guy I had no idea what he was talking about and I'd be happy to talk to him after I verified he was an agent by calling him back and I'd also call my local DEA office to verify. He backed right off. When I called the number, it was a call center for a home security system and they said they had no idea what I was talking about. Creepy. Now, I'm reading this is a SCAM where they are shaking people down to wire "fines" to the Dominican Republic. I had my credit card number stolen in 2007 and several purchases were made including camera equipment, etc.. The bank took care of it and gave me a new account and number. I'm thinking this stems from that. Scary.
This same thing happened to me his name was Monroe Castelle and threatened me to search my house within 24 hours and arrest me the phone number this guy used was 202-241-2908
202 239 2860 Caller said he was Spedical Agent William White or Wright - Allegdley with DEA - about confiscated drugs - ignoring him for the moment - just putting this out there for others to be aware - January 13, 2012
I have received this same phone call, same so called agent, same phone number. If this idiot had any sense he would know that the DEA does not give fair warning!! They play hardball!!! I certainly hope he and who ever else is involved in this crap of a scam gets caught up with..
