Just got the same call from 202-241-5763/ Special Agent William Rice. He told me that he had "confiscated drugs" from 2007. He gave me the option of wiring $950 to the Dominican Republic within an hour or go to prison for up to 12 months. My husband called him back and quizzed him on some things and he got extremely angry and hung up. He scared me so badly. Shame on him. It's so close to Christmas.
The person I was to wire it to was Julio Joseph in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Does that name ring a bell with anyone?
I got a call tonight and was told I ordered meds in 07 not true and they wanted 950.00 to pay a fine to the dominican republic and if I did not I was going to federal court on Jan 27th how can people get away scaring and threatening people I want to end my computer use. he said it was detective Peter Franco and gave the DEA address as 700 army navy dr Washington DC 2001 cant they be stopped
yep got call..today on ans machine.. called back got some lady .. saying DC DEA.. disconnected left msg and this jerk Wm Rice called and wanted his scamming 900.. he had me on the hook for a few minutes and his professional talk fell off quickly. and i ran to the pc.. Called him back and cussed his out and called the DC REAL 800 # ..
The same thing happened to us, he gave us one hr to wire him 2200 dollars or I would have to go to jail for 30 days...what steps did you take with him? we need advice..
This person "Detective Wm. Rice or Rife", called and accused me of a crime. He wanted $950 to make it go away and not go to trial. He said I could call an attorney but if I chose this route, I would automatically forfeit only being able to pay a fine and I would have to appear in court on Nov. 10 to face jail time. I called my attorney, he said he has never heard of such a thing and advised me not to say anything more to this person. He said this is a scam!!!! DO NOT SEND MONEY TO THIS PERSON!!!
