David Wallace called me today...claiming to be a DEA agent.  Said US Customs had seized an overseas package addressed to me with a prescription and no script.  He said if I did not Western Union $2500 to an overseas account in the Dominican Republic that i would have to report to federal court next week.  Very convincing.....he almost got me.....I've received nothing in the mail.  i told him to arrest me and then he told me he i will have to deal with the DA.  what DA and where?  we'll see.....

Just sick of lies
They did this scam on me last year and then again today. Last year, he convinced me so much that I actually called the local DA and explained what this man said and also in the past that I had ordered diet pills from someone on the internet. The local DA said no they never ever extradite people out of the US and just give him his (the DA's here) number and have him call and so I did. Now this time when he called I told him "Well I better hide all my drugs and drug money then before you come to extradite me huh" He was furious, he started cussing me out and said "I am gonna rip your panties off and you'll see what happens" I just hung up. I am seriously thinking of filing a report with the local law enforcements if they call again and threaten me.

I believe they are scammers from the diet pill people.

Scam
Just got a call from a Mark Henry: 443-478-7538, said I had ot talk to Peter Johnson. He said I had a B Felony waiting for me as they had intercepted a package from Dominican Republic with hydrocodone and other drugs. Said he'd let me off with a fine of $2800 and to bring along some other money for incidentals; send to them through US Customs, via Western Union. Fake; just called me a gain and told him I'd checked with authorities and no such case #. Told him to just send me the court docs and I'd appear before a judge.

I got a call at work from someone claiming to be  DEA agent, James Capra. It was a California nurmber. When I wouldn't take the call he left a number for me to call back, said it was urgnet. I called back a couple days later and he claimed to be DEA agent Anthony D. Williams and claimed there was a federal agent on his way to arrest me but finally got around to telling me I could make the whole thing go away if I sent $1800 by Western Union to Hector Guzman who he claimed was the Distric Attorney of "San Francisco Dominican Republic." Said he knew there had been a package sent to me that was intercepted at the border.

I really appreciate your post here as it confirmed my suspicions that I was being scammed yesterday.

They called me on the 18th as well, only my guy called himself "Peter Johnson."  They have a pretty good story (police type radios in the background), and sounded pretty convincing.  He told me that I'd be  indicted by the Grand Jury next week, and Customs would be calling me, but if I was cooperative he could get me a "dismissal charge" with just a small fine.  I told him repeatedly that I didn't know what he was talking about, and finally said I'd call him back.  After a few freaked-out minutes, the little alarm in my head finally got my attention - "Peter Johnson"??  Might as well have been Dick Johnson.

If it helps you all any, this number is from Washington, DC.  The penalty for impersonating a police officer to coerce an action from someone is up to 180 days in jail and a $1000 fine, District of Columbia Code 22-1406.
