fake irs scam

Got this call today. they want me to call IRS because I filed my taxes incorrectly...I haven't filed yet...lol

Fake IRS Scam. They never notify you over the phone, by mail only.

I told them I am really scared and asked them what can be done to rectify this issue..... ;)

Leaving a message here on a public forum does not stop anything.
Invest in a call blocker for your land line. $39 on amazon or ebay.
My call blocker stops all calls from area code 202. Too simple.

Caller ID is the 800 number for the IRS Help line.  They then tell you to call back to this number.  Officer somebody with a non US voice.
