Who called from 2022418011

The caller had an official sounding female voice. She claimed to be from the IRS saying that I was being sued by them and to call back immediately.

There is a widespread IRS or "tax scam" being  practiced by scammers on both Canadian and USA residents.

Short answer:
The IRS never initiates a contact via phone.
They always send a snailmail first.

I got a similar message today, preceded for a few months by a male voice with an Indian accent saying there were warrants from the IRS with the sheriff for my arrest.  

I am a judge and I know that isn't how the sheriff's department and the IRS work.

I received identical message as Paul.

Official sounding female voice saying being sued by IRS and this would be my last notice.  Said to call back 202 241 8011.  Message left on Fri Jan 30 at 1122AM.
