I got a call a few days ago from this number - said he was an IRS agent and started asking if I knew I had unpoaid taxes? when i asked - since when does the IRS call people to ask about unpaid taxes he just cut me off and kept going with his script. Then I told him to send me a letter in the mail and he hung up.
Same person called today. Said his name was Officer David Cooper from the criminal investigation branch of the IRS and asked if I knew i was a subject in an IRS investigation.I could tell he had a heavy accent - suspect Indian. Told me they sent letters in April and September of last year and now if I dont call back in 2 hours an arrest warrant will be issued for my arrest. Then asked if I have a criminal lawyer he can contact. Verified my name and address. It was so obviously the same person who had changed his story about the mail because I asked about it...
received several messages from this # 202-241-8189 and I spoke with an Indian accent guy, pretending to be an official!
I hung up the phone before he even started with his routine
I received calls from this number. I cusred him in Indian language. He in turn returned my curses back to me. That shows that this guy is from India and harassing people by using scare tactics.
I work for Police Dept. Have taken several reports for harassment by telephone from this number. Spoke to male subjs who became belligerent when I told them to stop calling and misrepresenting themselves. Spoofing a DC phone number, but are calling from Phillipines or Dubai. Number is disconnected today. Moving on to somewhere else, I'm sure. Losers.
Sorry guy the number is not disconnected. Received a call 2 hours ago and just called the number and a recording says Nathan Brooks with the IRS. Filed a report with FX County Police and Verizon says they cannot to anything about this because they simply use another number. If this guy is in the US, why can you guys not locate who signed up for this number and go arrest him? This SOB has been calling me since the last 2 months. Other numbers being used are 530-208-9631 and 866-978-6001. Thanks
