Received a call from a man with a heavy accent . Telling me I paid to much in property taxes , he said he needed my bank account number or debit card to deposit . I said I wanted cash , he gave me an ID number and phone number to call 315 515 4014 , I did and it was a government grant office . It's a scam
I got the same call about $8000 in U.S. Grant money. Same issue with him trying to get my credit card and banking information. I told him I wanted cash, so he gave me a "ID number" and the phone number for a miss Janet Miller (3155122097). Be careful with these clowns.
Just got a call from these idiots. I did not answer, I immediately forwarded too VM this way I can catch them talking for a few seconds. They sound MiddleEastern even though they're using a DC number. I heard them say hush hush and then I could hear a lot of other voices speaking in the background. And then they hung up. If this were legitimate they 1, would leave an actual message and not just hang up, 2, they would not be calling from multiple numbers when you've already blocked them from previous numbers. My advise to anyone who gets a call from any of these idiots, do not answer, do not call back, they are phishing. Block them. Send them too VM if you don't know WHO they ARE DO NOT ANSWER.
This number showed up on my voice mail. Listened to the message associated with it and it was just a people talking in the background for 42 seconds. No message left.
Told me to call a number in Ontario Canada to claim my US Government Grant. I was kind of excited to be contacted with such a classic scam, but hung up nonetheless.
