I received a call on 08/02/2014 at 5:36 from a Kathleen Straight. She left a message stating that she was from the treasury dept and that action was being taken against my name.
I called back (202-280-7079) and left them a message to call me so I can take care of it. I left the number to the local police ID theft dept.
I think we should call them and call them and leave them bogus messages!!! Play with their heads.
Called our office, asked for Dr. Claimed to be from legal affairs. After explaining that dr was with patient and unavailable left number. It seemed suspicious so we called the # back, we hung up when we heard it was the dept of treasury in dc. Immediately after we called back, they called us back and said we need to have dr call us immediately, We then new it was a scam. Do not answer calls from this # and report it. The IRS will send you a certified letter. They will not call you.

I received a call on 12-01-2014 @ 18:00 from "Kathleen Strait, Office of Legal Affairs"/ "IRS" who left her phone # 707-327-2642. She said I "must call her back...do not disregard this call. It is important that I call right away". She said there was a legal claim that was requiring "Enforcement action" against me. Stupidly, I called her back. I am afraid, since I called her back, they will charge something to my cell bill. I shouldn't have called them back.

This is Karen Dorsey from the Department of Treasury in Washington DC. trying to reach you in regards to a very important issue. This is a verbal notification in regards to the enforcement action that has been started on your name. My number is 202-280-7079, now, if for any reason you are busy and cannot call back, I would suggest that you have your retained attorney do it for you as delay in calling us might result in a legal mess for you. Again, this is Karen from the Department of the Treasury, looking forward to speaking with you until then, you have a blessed day." Called back, someone named Richard Anderson called said that action was being pursued because federal taxes have not been paid. Stated that we always pay our taxes and have received refunds for the last several years. Richard said that taxes hadn't been paid for 2008. This is not true.
