Just got a call from that number 202-280-7645, guy with bad accent left message - claimed to be a DEA agent and they had a search warrant for my house....Why would they call to give me the heads up they're coming? Bogus! Thanks for previous posts...
Just got a call from 202-280-7645. 4 different foreign speaking men stating I purchased prescription meds on line from a illegal company in the Dominican Republic and I would be arrested and federally charged if I wanted to go to court and try to beat the charges OR I could wire $2500 to a federal courthouse, obviously not in my area, and would received paperwork in 24hrs stating I was cleared of all charges.
Called the DEA fraud line and reported this. Pretty sure it was a scam but I am still kinda shakey.
This is the second time I got the call. The first one caught me off guard but then I got it together and played along. When he said the agents were approaching my house, I said I was out on my front porch waiting for them. The man got irate with me. In frustration he hung up.
The second time I received a call from the con man I told them I was calling the State Attorney General's office. He hung up but I decided to prank them by calling back and leaving a message. They returned my call and instead of answering I let the machine pick it up and they left a message. My husband and I are still laughing at "we do got agents right now on your zip code to bring you into custody. So if you don (not don't) call me back in 10 minutes you will leave me no other shoice (choice) for to send agents to you at your job location or home address."
I can laugh at this but what about those who think they're real?
They left a message claiming to be from the DEA have both search and arrest warrants for my property. The guy had a really hockey accent, alternately slavic, then sort of American southern, and morphing into Bronx when he said his name was Tony Angeli. This is pretty funny stuff! If I had more time on my hands, I'd actually call this guy back and string him along a bit...
I received the same exact message with the same exact name. I have also been receiving calls from other #'s with the same content. It is extremely disturbing. If you or anyone else reading this knows how these callers can be reported please let me know.
Got a call on 7/13 from this yokel. REALLY sounded fishey, heavy slavic accent and said the guy I needed to talk to was "out of the office" and would call back.
