Just got a call from that number 202-280-7645, guy with bad accent left message - claimed to be a DEA agent and they had a search warrant for my house....Why would they call to give me the heads up they're coming? Bogus! Thanks for previous posts...
Got this call this morning 7/18/12. He knew I had ordered diet pills once 7 years ago from an online co. After he said I could beat the charges by paying a fine, I said he needed to understand that this sounds like a scam. He said I would see it wasn't when he and a federal agent show up at my front door...and then he hung up. I suspected it was a scam, but still, what a jerk to waste my time and shake me up like that. Always amazed by people's desperation for easy money.
Annoyed- Many of these web sites that sell pills, snake oil & potions are run by the con men. CBS 60 minutes did a story on this. First they sell you the pills, then they call you pretending to be with the DEA. Ever heard of a DEA charge that can be cleared by sending money via Western Union or GreenDot to the Caribbean? Wiring money is clue #1 it's a scam.
I also got a call/voicemail from this scam. Accent was so strong, I had to listen to message twice before i could understand he was saying "DEA". I hope anyone they call is savvy enough to google the number and find this forum. I didn't even entertain the thought of calling them back and hope this post prevents others from getting fooled.

Received a call same story as Zach above. Used same name Tony Angeli. They used a name that I haven't had for over 7 years. Funny thing is they called my work which is at a Sheriff's Office.I recall years ago I ordered RX drugs on line, that must have been where they got the info. I will be reporting this to our local DEA.
