Boiler room call (deduced from background noises) with East Indian-sounding voice that has trouble pronouncing common American first names. Caller ID claims it's from "James Torres". Called twice today, after being told the first time the person they asked for doesn't live here.
March 24, 2017...Caller with East Indian-sounding voice and name addresses me by my first name even though I have not given my name.He asks how I am, but asks several times even when I reply..Says he is calling from the "National Institute of Health Department". He says I have been given a $40,556 grant. I interrupt to say that this is a fraud, and I am not interested and hang up. Other times it has been some another "Department" with a smaller grant.
