The guy that called couldn't speak English very well, he said I had been chosen to receive over $7000 in government grant money. He asked if I had a checking or savings account, I said no, he asked if I had a shopping card, I said no. I asked him if they could send it in check for and he said they were not able to do that. I asked if they could put it on a loadable visa cars and he said they can't do that. He said I would have to call 202-407-9149 to see if they could find a way to send it. I googled that number and found out it is a scam that wants you to send money to get the money they say you are to get.

I too received a call from this number from someone who said he was calling from the US Grant Office. I asked him to repeat it and he did - with a little attitude. I then asked him what he was calling about and he hung up. I guess he sensed that a co versatile with me would be challenging.
This man - Indian or other Asian - said he was from some US government office, and I didn't hear the Grant part but it sounded iffy to say the least. So I hung up.
This number has called me over 8 times. When I asked to be taken off their call list they hand up on me. Then called me back at 4:03pm , 4:05pm 4:08pm and 4:10 pm all in the same day. They have up on you if you ask them not to call your number back but continue to call all hours of the night. How do we get them to stop? This is phone harassment. I tried to call the number back but it doesn't except calls. Hmmm what can we do to stop this?
