received call from someone claiming to represent the IRS about a tax issue and that I could be jailed for not responding. Had an indian accent, wished me good luck if I didn't respond and that it would be my fault if I got arrested. Have had several computer voice type messages in the past, this one was a new one, an actual person.
A number, 202-355-6717, called and it was an automated call stating that I was under investigation for tax evasion and tax fraud. They said it needed to call the number back and if I did not return the call then I would be arrested.
Called on both my phone numbers. Definite Indian accent. Stated he was from the IRS and I had to call back to prevent me from being jailed. Caller ID popped up as Voxbone SA.
Got same call today and called back - knowing it is a scam. Told to call tomorrow ND ask for my "officer Kevin Reed". When I. Asked for particulars...was told, "call Mr Reed". Asked the woman to lend me her credit card so I could pay it and I would pay her back. LOL ID: Voxbone Sa
