I told him if I were selected for a 9000 dollar grant my name should be on file. I told him to tell me my name and DOB and I'd go along with it. He totally hung up
Just got this call. Indian sounding guy saying they are with the Federal government for a $9,000 grant that I do not have to pay back and I do not owe taxes on. Asked me if I was wondering how he got my number. I didn't answer, just listened and he eventually hung up.
Just got a call from this number. Guy said I had a grant from Federal Gov't for 9k that I didn't have to repay. They would deposit money onto a card (check card, Wal-Mart card.....whole list read from a script. Very obvious telemarketing background from India or other county with high Telemarketing employment) Had no answers for me when questioned, I asked him to slow down his speech, as I couldn't understand his broken english. He knew that he was calling from D.C. ...but couldn't tell me what time it was! I'm right outside of D.C. .....No department of our Government is giving away 9k grants over the phone...
