I received a phone call today, February 9, 2015 at 12:40PM EST, purportedly from an Officer Amy Brown (badge number IR40215). She gave me her phone number of (202)436-9098. She said that the IRS is suing me (case number CD8642CA) and asked if I have a criminal lawyer representing me, but she would not elaborate what the lawsuit is about. I asked for the 800 number and extension that I could reach her, and she said she has to talk to her supervisor on how to proceed and never called back.
I emailed TIGTA and they confirmed it is an impersonator in a scam.
Received call from same number saying he was an officer from the IRS and became argumentative when I asked who he was and if I could talk to his superior. He even gave me a badge number. And when I wouldn't give him my info, he threatened me by telling the local authorities to come to my house and arrest me. Only when I said "send them", he hung up. The calls and the man who answered had an Indian accent.

Received two calls from this number. Messages exactly the same as if read from a script. Stating I have a warrant for an IRS tax fraud, and that they would send local authorities if I did not return their call.
I have received 5 of these calls. Today I picked up on it and was told that my husband had to call back within 30 mins to Officer Sean Williams Badge 41960 and guess what I could not even understandthe freaking indian talking. This was no Sean. He said that he was being prosecuted in a federal case. My husband called the number so he could screw with him and the number went to Washington DC. WTF. Get these creeps
