Who called from 2024460312

Caller said there was a law enforcement action started against someone in the house, identified one person by name.  Gave me an officer number of #3126 when asked, said he got the number from their "records" when I continued to press for more information he eventually hung up.  Heavy foreign accent, Indian perhaps.

Beware! They are good, except for the accent and unkown # on caller ID.  They read an enforcement letter from the Treasury Dept. and stated that I could no longer pay IRS, but had to deal with them or go to jail.  Being deliquent on my taxes, I was listening.  Asked for a call back # and got 202-446-0312.  Was at computer and fortunately found this thread.

Got a call from this number saying there was a tax evasion case opening up on someone at my number.  Never said who.  Then closed by saying I could call for further information to the US Treasury dept.   Treasury does not handle revenue issues. Scammers trying fear tactics.

Got a call from this number saying that I was involved in a tax evasion case.  Never said who.  Then closed by saying I could call for further information to the US Treasury dept and left this number.   I assumed it was a scam so I googled this number and found that others received calls from the same number.
