Received a telephone call 0n 05AUG09 @ 1000 am EST from 202-459-7122, caller ID as Diane Yental, recorded line press 1 if you would like to talk to a live operator and extend your credit, press 2 for more info, after pressing 1, background noise was heard with a child crying and a female voice stating hello, hello, hello, several times before hanging up, then call ended.
Just saw record of missed call from this number. No further action taken; it obviously doesn't do any good! Thanks to everyone who posts here, so I know I don't need to call back, since I often get calls I WANT from numbers I don't know.
Aug.5,2009 @10:03 A.M. -- phone rang; did not answer; CID showed it to be "Diane Yentel"; just Googled the name and found it all to be a scam and violation of the do not call list.
Same as everyone else. There is a Diane Yentel who works for OXFAM America and lives in Washington, DC. I just called and left her a message on her voicemail at work (I got someone at an Oxfam call center to put me through).
My message conveyed the situation and that she may have had her identity stolen unless she is in on this scam. What are the odds of 2 Diane Yentels in DC? I hope I got this one right.
I did not answer. Caller ID showed Unknown Name.
A recorded unaccented woman's voice talked about lowering my credit card interest rate. I needed to push 1 on phone to talk to a live representative.
