Hey Credo, the US is not a democracy, it is a republic. Remember the pledge? ...and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. Democracy would be the same as mob rule, ie. 51% is all it takes in a democracy to pass something. We don't have that form of government in the US. Pirate ships like Blackbeard's were run as a democracy.
