I got a call from this number from a middle eastern guy going by the name of Josh Matthews stating that i applied for a goverment grant (that i never did) and said if i make a deposit of $210 that iwill get that money back plus an additional $7,000. Complete scammmmm
Was told that after paying a safety deposit fee of $212 that it would be held for verification for a Grant for the amount of $8,300 and getting the $212 back after the verification went through. The man who I had talked to was Chris Wilson.

My husband got a call today from a man. He was middle Eastern. I'm not real sure what his name was. However my husband was eligible for $8300 as long as we paid a security deposit of $212. So I called from MY phone after he hung up. I gave them my name and they said they'd have the person that called me call back. Hold up, I was never called. So it's a big total scam. ;)
My boyfriend got a call from this number and spoke with a man named "Officer Chris Wilson". He was middle eastern. He told my boyfriend that he was eligible to receive a grant for $8,300 and if we paid a $212 security deposit we would be refunded the deposit in addition to receiving the $8,300. He told us that we would get a call back in 10-15 minutes with a location to go to near where we live so that we can get the money. He told us that my boyfriend would need to present a photo ID.
After we hung up, we called back and spoke with a "John"(possibly) and asked to speak to a supervisor. The guy transferred us to an "Antwon". My boyfriend told him about the things we read online and asked if these were false accusations. "Antwon" told my boyfriend "Ok, thank you for calling" and hung up!
