Just received a message claiming IRS is initiating a law suit. Suspected a scam and called non emergency police number and was referred to Attorney General's office for city which informed me this is a scam and not to have any contact with them. If they continue to call contact the phone company and see about blocking the number.
Today is December 4 2014 and this number referenced above just called saying tragedy are the irs and that they were going to file a lawsuit. This is obviously a SCAM bc whe. I called back no one ever picked up or and no automated service picked up either like the numbers that the real irs leaves on their notices. If you get this from this number just hang up and don't let this ruin your day. Have a good day people and always verify that they are the real deal. Hang up if this number calls you.
I've gotten multiple recorded messages from 202-470-6041 in the past few days claiming too be IRS and that they are going to sue me. I know it's a scam, but I sure wish there was some way of stopping these calls.
