I received msg from this number june 24 2014 in a computer voice saying it was a Patti Gray from the IRS and to return call. When I did it rang endlessly no one answers and no msg machine.
My wife received a robo call requesting she immediately call 202 506‑8738 or risk immediate arrest for monies owed to IRS. She called 202 506‑8738 and a man with a middle Eastern accent rudely reported she owed $4,500+ in back taxes for the years 2008, 2009 & 2010. The man read her her Mirnada rights over the phone, yelled at her when she interrupted and said if she would be arrested immediately if she did not make immediate payment. She called me to the phone to speak with the so called IRS agent. When I asked him for his name, position and phone number, he rudely replied he had already given that information to my my wife. I then told him "go ahead and send the police and have her arrested and I will bail her out". He was very upset with me and yelled "F**k You, you [***]****"........ I was still laughing when he slammed the phone down.....he apparently had been on the phone for a while with my wife and thought he was getting close to the $$$. Have to admit that he really frightened my wife.... she was literally shaking after this ordeal thinking she was dealing with the IRS. She is filing a police report... amazing how many complaints just here on 800notes over the past few days.... apparently this scam is working or you would not be reading so many scam reports.
